Our website always offers you the best price across all of our self-managed selling channels. When a booking is confirmed, the price is final and not subject to change. 

 

The prices listed in our website are accurate and should be taken as the reference. Exceptionally, system configuration errors in the booking platform may charge you a different price. We will do our best to honor that price, but we reserve the right to cancel the booking and refund you for the full paid amount.

 

We ask that the price is paid in full at the time of the booking, but be reassured that you will be fully refunded if you cancel 2 weeks before the tour date. Please refer to the “Cancellations and Refunds” section below. For large groups we may accept a deposit, to be defined upon your booking enquiry.

 

Occasionally, we may provide discounted offers and booking incentives to encourage additional reservations during low season. These offers will be available for a limited time, and bookings made outside the promotional period or without the promotional vouchers will not be eligible for the discount.

 

Payments may be made by debit card, credit card, or electronic bank transfer. Cash may also be accepted if a deposit was agreed at the point of booking. All payments must be in Euro (EUR).

The travel plans described in our website are a fair description of your tour. There are restaurants and wineries that we like to privilege in our visits, but for your benefit we do not set, and we cannot guarantee, any specific times or locations. If you have specific requirements you should let us know at the time of your booking (in the booking form), but we will also do our best to be flexible to accept last minute adjustments on the day of your tour.

 

Times: The tours cover some distance to Douro Valley, and wineries may also be quite apart from each other, hence, the tour time may slightly vary. Furthermore, traffic can be unpredictable and busy locations may impact the planned schedule. That said, we will do our best to stick to the plan and we will not charge you any additional fee if the tour gets delayed beyond the estimated times (unless you specifically request us to extend the tour).

 

Locations: Wineries and restaurants are specifically selected by our team based on distance, availability, weather and overall fit for your tour. There may also be local events that we may want to take the opportunity to enrich your tour. Sometimes the locations also have unexpected closures themselves, and we will have to adjust accordingly. Rest assured that each winery has something different to offer and we are absolutely sure that your satisfaction will not be impacted. If there are specific wineries or restaurants you’d like to visit please let us know at the time of your booking.

Our tour company is not liable for any food allergies or related health issues that may arise during your trip, as all food and beverages provided are supplied by third-party vendors. While we strive to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we cannot guarantee that meals will be free from allergens or meet specific dietary requirements. You should list your food allergies in the tour booking form and we will take it into consideration when booking your restaurant, but it is your responsibility to communicate any food allergies or dietary needs directly to the third-party providers. We strongly recommend taking necessary precautions, such as carrying appropriate medications or contacting the vendors in advance. We do not assume any responsibility for adverse reactions or other issues resulting from the consumption of food and drink during the tour.

Your booking is immediately confirmed once you have made the payment through our website’s booking platform. Our platform is integrated with other 3rd party selling platforms, ensuring that our tours availability is accurate across them. 

 

If you change your booking:

 

We do not charge handling fees for changing your tour type or tour date.

 

  • Change to Tour Type: you may change your tour type, for the same date, any time prior to your tour date providing that we can cancel and rebook the venues for your alternative tour, which is typically up to 7 days prior to your tour date. We will credit or debit the difference in the tours prices.

 

  • Change to Tour Date: you may change your tour date with no extra cost up to 7 days prior to the tour date time, as long as we have availability for your new date. Your new date must be within 3 months of the original tour date. We cannot accommodate any subsequent changes past your original tour date.

 

If you cancel your booking:

 

Cancellation and refund policies are defined below.

 

  • Cancellation up to 14 days before tour: refund 100% of booking price
  • Cancellation between 14 days and 7 days before the tour: refund 50% of booking price
  • Cancellation up to 7 days before tour: no refund

 

You must email us or phone us to let us know of your intentions to cancel. You may also send us a message through our website contact form. The refund, if due, may take a few days to be executed, which is managed via our payment service provider.

 

We understand that unexpected events may prevent you from attending your booked tour, but we are a small company and last minute cancellations have a high impact on us and on our ability to continue delivering a personalized premium service.

 

If we cancel your booking:

 

We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time before the tour date and time. This should only happen in very exceptional circumstances since we typically have redundancy of staff, vehicles and tour options. 

 

These are the general guidelines for the most plausible scenarios:

 

  • Add-ons: most add-on services are provided by 3rd parties that we cannot control. If we are unable to find a replacement before your tour we will issue you a full refund for the add-on.

 

  • Overbooking: despite the tours availability being managed centrally and systematically, exceptions may happen where an overbooking occurs. These cases are identified typically within 48h of your booking and a full refund will be issued.

 

  • Staff or Vehicle Unavailability: despite us having redundancy of tour guides and vehicles, staff may fall unexpectedly ill or a vehicle may break down. Even if this happens last minute we will do our best to ensure your tour goes ahead (and minimize delays) but if we cannot, we will issue a full refund. 

 

  • Restaurant, Winery or Museum Unavailability: we work closely with restaurants, wineries and museums and are aware of their availability. If you specifically requested a venue but there a change in the location’s availability after your booking (and up to 14 days prior to the tour) we will let you know and give you the option for a full refund. If there is a change to the location’s availability up to 14 days prior to the tour we will adjust your tour plan with an alternative location.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the specific passport, visa, and other immigration requirements for your travel. We cannot be held liable if you are unable to travel or are refused entry to any country due to non-compliance with passport, visa, public health, or immigration regulations.

When you book a tour or transfer with us, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of all members of your group during the tour. Individuals under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them throughout the tour. You agree to respect the authority and decisions of our staff and local partners during the trip.

If your behavior is disruptive, you will be liable for any costs or expenses incurred as a result, including legal fees. Additionally, we will not be obligated to provide any refunds, compensation, or cover any costs or expenses (including return travel arrangements) if your tour is terminated due to your conduct.

You must also comply with the local non-smoking laws and policies, including not smoking when traveling in our vehicles and when visiting, drinking, or dining indoors.

While our company will be responsible for providing a safe and well-organized experience, it is the client’s own responsibility to secure adequate travel insurance. Personal travel insurance provides clients with protection against unexpected events, such as illness, injury, or disruptions that might prevent them from traveling or require medical attention. It also can cover financial losses if the trip needs to be canceled or interrupted.

 

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This data is necessary for us to facilitate your booking, provide the services you have requested, and communicate with you about your travel arrangements. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your information is secure. Your data will only be shared with third parties essential to the fulfillment of your booking, such as hotels, airlines, and local partners, and will not be used for any other purpose without your explicit consent. You have the right to access, modify, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly.

These terms and conditions, published on 19th August 2024, supersede all previous versions.
